Entry requirement: Applicant must have an LL.M. degree or a Master's Degree in any subject from a recognized University with 55% marks or equivalent grade. Marks relaxation for SC/ST/OBC(Non-Creamy Layer)/PwD may be extended according to the norms stipulated by the UGC. In the normal course of things candidates have to appear in the university entrance examination and undergo the interview process.

If a candidate has already qualified for UGC NET/ JRF/ equivalent qualification then as per university rules, exemptions from the examination may be granted. The final eligibility will be based on the latest admission notification of the university.
